Dear Stephen,

Yes, the bows are different bows. One of them is a Turkish composite (which is stringed), and the other is a Mongolian composite. They are made of the same materials, with the same method, but the Turkish has better physical features. It is faster, and thinner. With the Mongolian they had to use more material (horn, leather, wood) to reach the same draw weight.
The price of the bows is between 1050-1250 Euros.
Csaba would definitely like to make the Kothan bow. It will be among the next composite bows, hopefully at the end of this summer. In the future we are going to make more composite bows.

I hope it helps.

Regards

Have a nice week

Thank you. I'll use then in the next newsletter. Members may ask about the price. Can you let me know the price?

Hope you are keeping well. I heard that you are building a new house. You must be doing well! Is there any chance for you to do more study on the Khotan bow? I now have more information that the bows were very widely used in Central Asia from about 200AD-1000AD. I am very keen to have a working version to understand why the design was so popular.

Yours, Stephen

Dear Stephen,

I hope you are well.
In the attached file you can see the Extra III. Turkish bow. Maybe you can use the pictures. These bows are special because they are made of natural materials like horn, leather, and wood.
